You can use ^L to get a screen refresh at any point.

I think you're seeing a bug in ncurses.  I'm going to rebuild dpkg
with the latest ncurses soon.

When I look at bison-parsers, and then choose the next package, a bit
from bison-parsers screen still displays.  I suspect this may be due
to packages with incorrect description layouts.  But is there some way
to make dselect to a hard redraw as well as the reseting to top of
screen that we discussed before?
