Package: sendmail
Version: 8.6.10
Package Revision: 5
uname -a: Linux phavl 1.2.1 #1 Tue Mar 21 12:31:42 EST 1995 i586
Debian Release: 0.93R5

The dkp instructions in

        /var/lib/dpkg/info/sendmail/postinst

are incorrect regarding the paths to config stuff:

:A configuration development tree has been installed in
:/usr/src/sendmail.cf. The files you need to edit are in the cf
:subdirectory (/usr/src/sendmail.cf/cf) and they end with a `.mc'
               ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
/usr/src/sendmail.cf/cf/cf

:extension. The actual configuration file produced with `make' will be
in
:/usr/src/sendmail.cf/cf/obj. It will have the same name as the mc file,
but
 ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
/usr/src/sendmail.cf/cf/cf/obj

:with a `.cf' extension. The file README_CF.gz, located in
/usr/doc/sendmail,
                                  ^^^^^^^^^^^^
(doesn't exist)

:contains information on editing these files. If you can, print it out
so you
:can refer to it while you make your changes. (Don't forget to `gunzip'
it.)

:This distribution includes a few example configuration files. You
should
:find the one that matches your site closest and copy it to the file
:deb-local.mc (this way you don't destroy the example). When you finish
editing
:deb-local.mc, simply type `make deb-local.cf' and your configuration
file
:will be created and placed in /usr/src/sendmail/cf/obj/deb-local.cf .
When
                               ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
/usr/src/sendmail.cf/cf/cf/obj/deb-local.cf

:you are sure that the configuration file is okay, copy it to
/etc/sendmail.cf
:and restart sendmail.
