Just so you know for future reference :)
If the file is STILL in Incoming on the archive you can DELETE it.

You must log into the FTP server using the UID of buster and password
fsf/gnu
then you can delete rename whatever..

Thanks

Yes, I am aware of this and I posted on debian-devel that this version
would not work in hopes that it would be deleted from the archive. I am
in hopes of uploading another version tonight which corrects that
problem
and a few others I encountered.

The problem is not with the 'tin' binary file, but rather a wrong
declaration of a #define.

Setting the environment variable NNTPSERVER is a valid workaround, but
as
you said, should not be needed.

Sorry for the problems.

Package: tin
Version: 1.30b-1

Tin was working w/ the previous version, installed 1.30b-1 and now
it says:

bash$ tin
tin 1.3 950515BETA PL0 [UNIX] (c) Copyright 1991-94 Iain Lea.
Reading config file...
Connecting to /etc/news/server...
/etc/news/server: Unknown host.
Failed to connect to NNTP server /etc/news/server. Exiting...

I can get it to start by:

bash$ NNTPSERVER=cmhcsys.cmhcsys.com; export NNTPSERVER
bash$ tin

I don't think I should have to do this, though. Didn't need it
before...:)

Let me know if there's more I can do...

Chuck
