If you're running xfs you can't upgrade xbase.
I also ran into some problem with a shared library being in use, even
though I had made an effort to shut down all x server and client apps
before upgrading (xfs in neither, but it doesn't seem to use any x
shared libs either -- at least, not in the current release).
