Package: emacs/emacs-el/emacs-x, man?, patch?
Version: emacs 19.28-3, man 2.2-7, patch 2.1-6

Emacs' M-X man command occasionally fails to find the manual page for
patch(1). I have not yet observed this effect with any other man
page, and running man directly from the shell always seem to be OK.

The problem appears and disappears apparently at random.

My ~/.emacs file, in case it's relevant, though I doubt it:

;-*-emacs-lisp-*-
(add-hook 'text-mode-hook 'turn-on-auto-fill)
(setq next-line-add-newlines nil)
(setq require-final-newline t)
(global-set-key "\C-X\C-G" 'goto-line)
(global-set-key "\C-C\C-V" 'set-variable)
(setq c-argdecl-indent 5)
(setq c-indent-level 4)
(setq c-continued-statement-offset 4)
(setq c-label-offset -4)
(setq c-brace-offset -4)

Using kernel 1.2.1, libc 4.6.27.

(This bug is reported to me by Richard Kettlewell,
rjk1002@hermes.cam.ac.uk. He doesn't have email connectivity at the
moment as it's out of term now and he's at home.)
